The Annual General Meeting of Educate Together will take place in Gorey Educate Together N.S., Kilnahue Lane, Carnew Road, Gorey Co. Wexford on Saturday, May 28th 2011.  It will commence at 09:30 and finish at 16:00.  All are welcome!!!  If you wish to find out more, call to see Christine.

The next cluster meeting of the Educate Together schools in Cork will take place in Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn on Wednesday next May 11th at 7:30pm.
 
Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn is situated on the grounds of Brian Dillon’s GAA club, Murmont Avenue, also known as the Tank Field. You can access Murmont Avenue from Mayfield Library on The Old Youghal Road, from Iona Park or from St. Christopher’s Drive.

Molly O’Dowd from Educate Together head office will be facilitating the meeting which will discuss ethos within an Educate Together school. The format of the meeting will include group discussion and also working in small groups.

No matter how young your children are, now is the time to start working towards giving them the choice of continuing within the Educate Together ethos at second level. Come to a parent information evening at CETNS – 8pm, Wednesday 4th May. Meet Niall Wall, Regional Development Officer for Cork, and find out what an Educate Together Secondary School would offer your child and what we can do to open one right here in Cork.

The Parent Association is delighted to announce our spring fundraiser– a raffle with fantastic health & fitness prizes donated by parents and friends of CETNS.

The draw will be held on Saturday May 14^th at the school as part of our Family Eurovision Evening. There will be popcorn, spot prizes and lots of fun so come out and join us for an enjoyable evening together!

Lines cost €2 – every family will get a sheet of 20 lines, but more sheets are available in the school office so please take as many as you can sell. If you know of a shop that will sell lines for us, please let us know. We will also be selling lines in SuperValu on May 10^th & 11^th. Please sign up to give an hour or two – it really helps!

Proceeds from the raffle will go towards curriculum resources for science, art, sport, IT and more. Thanks to all who donated prizes and all parents for selling lines – All our children will benefit from your generosity!

Carrigaline Educate Together National School are taking part in the 2011 St. Patricks Day Parade in Carrigaline on Thursday March 17th.  The parade will start at 12.30pm, but for those parents and children involved with the parade please meet at 11.30am at the Co-op Superstore on the lower kilmoney road (note change of time).

The theme for the school in the parade is “Green Travel”.  Please come out and support the school and see all the hard work that the children, parents and staff have put in!  Hope to see you there.

An enrolment evening for parents will be held at the Carrigaline Educate Together National School on Monday 28th Febraury 2011 starting at 7pm.  The evening is for the parents of children starting in the school in September 2011.

Members of the teaching staff, Board of Management and Parents Association will be on hand to give an overview of the school and answer any questions.  It’s an ideal opportunity to find out more about the ethos of the school and what children and parents can expect.  A further open day for incoming children to attend will be held in June.

The school has gone through a number of rounds of sending out enrolment offers for September 2011.  We are still in the process of sending out offers. If you believe you should have received an offer for September 2011 but haven’t please contact the school.
