Educate Together AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Educate Together will take place in Gorey Educate Together N.S., Kilnahue Lane, Carnew Road, Gorey Co. Wexford on Saturday, May 28th 2011. It will commence at 09:30 and finish at 16:00. All are welcome!!! If you wish to find out more, call to see Christine.

The next cluster meeting of the Educate Together schools in Cork will take place in Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn on Wednesday next May 11th at 7:30pm.
Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn is situated on the grounds of Brian Dillon’s GAA club, Murmont Avenue, also known as the Tank Field. You can access Murmont Avenue from Mayfield Library on The Old Youghal Road, from Iona Park or from St. Christopher’s Drive.
Molly O’Dowd from Educate Together head office will be facilitating the meeting which will discuss ethos within an Educate Together school. The format of the meeting will include group discussion and also working in small groups.

Enrollment September 2011

The following information has been sent by email to parents with children pre-enrolled for September 2011 and is re-published here.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Action Required Now:
Before sending out a formal offer for September 2011 we would like to confirm if you are still interested in an offer of a place and that we have the correct postal address.
- If you do NOT wish to receive an offer of a place then can you please reply to this email and let us know that you no longer wish to be on the pre-enrollment list.
- If your address has changed since you pre-enrolled you need to send us your new postal address.
If you wish to stay on the list and your address has remained unchanged then you can simply ignore this email. By letting us know that you are not interested in an offer you will help to greatly speed up the enrollment process for other parents.
Action Required in January/Febraury:
We aim to send offers out from the 1st of January onwards. The offer letter will specify a response date of 2 weeks. Failure to accept the offer within the specified response period will result in the offer being withdrawn and offered to the next child on the list. Please let us know if you anticipate being unable to respond during the first two weeks of January (e.g. due to holidays).
We anticipate that there will be a number of rounds of offers made through January and into February as we work through the enrollment list on a first come first served basis. Full details about how to enroll will be contained within the offer letter.

School to re-open on Thu 7-Jan-10

Carrigaline Educate Together National School will re-open as planned on Thursday 7th January 2010 after the Christmas holidays.
Local weather and road conditions in and around Carrigaline are generally good. For specific information on conditions please check the AA roadwatch website.
Official Enrollment Policy Now Available

The board of management has recently approved an official enrollment policy for Carrigaline Educate Together National School.
One significant change is that the age requirement for entering Junior Infants is that the child is between 4 and 6 years old. This differs from the previous policy where for entry from September 2009 children had to be 4 by June 30th.
You can download the enrollment policy as a pdf document here or contact the school if you wish to have a copy sent to you.
Pre-enrollment is also now open for 2013. The basis of our enrollment policy is a first come first served principal, so pre-enrolling is highly recommended.
